J Loves Porn - so that there is no misunderstandings or anything else preventing good communication here hopefully I can explain this to you in general terms:

When you sent out the first email you were doing something illegal in the US - unless you had a double opt-in email list that you bought from someone that had all of our names on it which I dont think you did. When you sent it out you automatically became an email spammer - and most webmasters dont like that - we have to deal with enough of it every day already.
The other possibility is that used your own program to spider all of our email addies from somewhere which would make your approach to generating business even worse.

Coming in here and apologizing was a good first step and things probably could have been left at that and you might have made some good biz relationships and grown your LL through good link trades etc.

Instead of admitting he was a jackass that spammed, he decides to attack the person that pointed it out. Suffice it to say if UW didn't post this, someone else would have. I was about to post a complaint against your spamming practices as well.

No one opted in to join your email...so that's the definition of spam. You may have gotten a few extra submitters, but you've probably hurt your reputation pretty good.

OH! Even though I cleared this up with him on ICQ, I did want to make it clear to the board - his sig file was not in line with the rules before this thread was started.

And I really don't sit here & count the characters in anyone sig file - I have better things to do with my time - Sparky made it easier for us
