I hate listening to a book being read to me, but I do love reading.

My neighbor bought an iPod just to listen to audio books that he buys from the iTunes store.

Oh, Cleo, you don't know how you've brightened my day! I absolutely *despise* being read to...and for some reason...that seems to attract people determined to read to me...usually something that I wouldn't have picked to read on my own. I especially hate it when it starts out "hey, listen to this...this is funny..." Automatically I know...it won't be.

(My itty bitty rant for the...er...moment. )

Glad it isn't just me. iTunes lets you listen to 30 seconds of everything so I sampled a bunch of the books thinking I would find something that I liked since I'm told some people do but it was just slightly more enjoyable then listing to fingernails being dragged across a chalkboard.
