Bill, if you chmod your htaccess to 777, wordpress will do it for you automatically.

bill, not sure I got the trackback so maybe we got it wrong. I'm gonna write up a new guide on it soon

Okay, I was able to fix the permalink problem I was having with that blog - it was just a matter of applying some attention.

I uploaded a basic htaccess, chmoded it 777, and then the script accepted the permalink change and wrote the new htaccess and pages with more se friendly permalinks.

So, show us an example of a trackback worthy post, Boogie, and a trackback in action.
