It's better than no google traffic at all.
I do design to attract google images traffic, which means designing a page that invites the image surfer to move onto deeper pages in the site, to find more images. In some situations I use a framebreaker script, to aid this process. Trying to send an images surfer straight to the sponsor from the image search doesn't seem to work well. |

I'm not interested in the facts, I'm interested in my opinion.

How do I get the image page spidered? Does it come naturally after being submitted?
I created a site with a bunch of images specifically for this. Google picked up the root, but I am not seeing any image traffic at all. On other domains I am seeing thousands a day. |

Trying is the first step towards failure

Alt tags help, also if you name the image the search term you're going after. Like big-tits.jpg.

Like Vink says, image names and alt tags are basics. I think it works better to have one or two pics on a page rather than a bunch, but that's just an impression. Text on the page describing 'photos', photographs, pics, pictures, and images. Headlines under the images describing their content.
Another impression I have is that it takes a little longer to be included in images.google than in the text database. |
