There's a free version of of WSN Links here - http://wsnlinks.giannaros.org/basic/ which is a dumbed-down version of it's namesake. I don't have any experience with that one.

I've abandoned my old script as I mentioned in another post because the owner has gone AWOL after an aborted product upgrade. [It was ugly, let me tell you.]

I would say from that looking at the above two ...

PhpLinkDirectory will be great someday but it is still pretty immature. Being "open source" is great because if the developer gets hit by a truck you can take the code and run with it.

Having played with it, WSN appears quite good and from other posts I've read, I understand a fair number of people use the commercial version for adult link lists. At $60 for a three domain license, I am now hanging my hat on WSN Links.

Cheers,

I am liking WSN. The templates are somewhat overwhelming but that makes it very powerful. It can create optimized directories, pages and URLs for search engines too. I should be good to go in a few weeks time!

Didn't get hit by any trucks yet.
We're actually starting on PHP Link Directory 3.0 now, and hope to finish around the end of the year. You can see some of the specs here: www.phpld.com
Also, do you adult webmasters do anything with rss feeds? If yes, www.newstopica.com might work nice for you.
