![]() I'm glad you decided to come talk with the good folks on this board. One thing I might suggest (unless the moderators have a way to do it here easily) would be to start your own thread about this. Being on page 4 of someone else's thread may get you less responses, or responses that aren't directly about your services. I should mention here that Adult-AdWorld initiated contact with us regarding using their service, and their CEO has been very concerned to learn more about the problems that Fusker/opedirviewer cause for us once I brought up a few points with him. I hope others will take a few minutes to contribute to this thread (or another one if there is a standalone thread started). It could be a good chance to get one of the thieving bastards' revenue streams chopped off -- the only real way to hurt them back. Simon

UW, I wanted to post an example of one of our hosted galleries on opendirviewer. We have our htaccess set up to serve a 'special' image to those kinds of sites too. But maybe they've finally gotten the message that we don't like them. When I try any of our gallery URLs there, all I get now is:
"The requested url cannot be viewed and is now deleted from our database." And Fusker now says "NO RESULTS for (URL)" I'm glad they're not hotlinking our images now, but as long as they're doing it to other people without their permission, they're still thieves as far as I'm concerned. Simon

wheat, the image problem is something that has been brought to AFF and other dating sites attention, but they are loath to deal with it. They seem to fail to understand how this could be viewed as misleading or deceptive advertising, as the claims for these girls being on their system is 100% and total false.
Regardless of being on the internet or in the real world, false or deceptive advertising can lead to action from various levels of government, including the FTC in the US. That companies allow third parties to generate such misleading advertising and then pay them well for doing it... well... they are asking for trouble, IMHO. Alex |

Are you sure this is the Sci-Fi Convention? It's full of nerds!

Agreed. Which is why I won't promote them. According to AFF there are hundreds of playmate lookalikes in my small ass hick town. Although I have yet to see a single one. This is what AFF will be doing when the FTC is informed of its dubious actions False advertising at its finest. |

I won't personally piss on the parade, and I suspect they have done the same math that many companies do:
Make 50 million running the site, admit no wrongdoing but agree to pay resitution and a fine to total 5 million, and move on with your 45 millions and enjoy life, potentially starting another variation on the theme. Alex |
