The thing is, they were the exact same rules that apply at Tommy's or RR's...why did it take 4000 words to say it? Then when they change their rules, etc, they wonder why no one took notice that one sentence in the novel got changed.
hehe true and I am gonna cut mine down and get rid of the no brainer stuff that people should know..

also I submitt to 16 to 18 LL on one page and doorways are not in my free site model, for extra traffic I sub to tgps

also there are many factors in figuring out who to sub to and is it worth building another mirror page for recips.. I have a larger size LL with smaller traffic than the bigger LL, but going by the sales I get and the growing traffic I am seeing, I would most surely submitt to smaller LL, over time you adjust some, and some of the most older LL dont have a huge blast of traffic that I sub to but I know for a fact those send sales..

what did MML tell me awhile back, oh he said "you cant cash stats just checks.. hehe

So why am I not seeing your submissions then?

I too have went with the "one recip" for Click 4Sex Fun. Of course, the niched recips are still available for those that would like to use them. I've also shortened my rules pages on both my ll to 9 rules instead of about 25.

Hi All
Interesting thread. I've cut down from 120 LL's to about 80. I regularly check the stats and constantly revise my Recip grids. Some LL's I submit to for no other reason than they post on this board and have only just started. But then I'm a big softy
I'm really surprised that so many of you only sub to under 20 LL's. Am I not right in thinking that some of the smaller, established LL's submit quality traffic although low in actual quantity?

One thing to keep note on the smaller LL's....things change and if these webmasters constantly work on their LL's, eventually, they will grow and become bigger, if not one of the biggest. Things take time and if someone sees low traffic from a few, they might think this is it for the rest of their life...you'd hate yourself if you dumped low traffic LL's, only to find out a year later they are bringing in HUGE traffic after a year of working hard.

I know there are some LL's who only focus on their own site only and see submitted sites as just filler with traffic for their own affiliates. This kind of thinking is where the small peeps will not last. I know for my directory, I work like 12 hours a day (especially with the new version coming) focusing on design, features, traffic, and of course, methods to help webmasters make money with sites they submit to 69toplinks. Focusing on helping the webmaster, will in the long-run, help the directory.....I believe in Karma.

The hard part for webmasters though is to decide on which LL's and directories to keep in their recip tables. I'd say just go on gut feeling, customer service from LL's (this is a business), quality of site, features offered, tools that LL's offer to help you, etc...

I still believe and agree that its not necessary to have a huge list of LL's to submit too. Start with a big batch but over time (I'd say a year), begin to edit out the ones that just don't seem to be going anywhere.

I simply don't have the time to submit to 100 Link Lists. I'm lucky to do 4 sites a week as it is, and already found the ones that send me good traffic. I then use the galleries i build for the free sites on a few good TGPs, and that is a much better way to spend that time, IMO.

The best advice for a new free site builder is to submit to at least 50 or 60 for a couple months at least...until they learn who will send THEM traffic. There are some niche LLs and niches on smaller LLs that don't send a ton of traffic, but they're highly targeted.

If you build 6 or 7 mirrors full of the smaller LLs they'll be happy to have the submissions and are more likely to list you, especially when you're still learning how to build free sites. Once you start seeing some sales, check the referring URLs from your sales to start narrowing down who is sending the QUALITY traffic in that niche. I've had mirrors that only got a couple hundred hits a month total from small LLs that still made sales

My autosubmitter says I submit to 450+ LL's

No serious, 39 LL's on my submit list.
And I really think we should group all these "to how many LL's do you submit" posts together...
