Yes it is good to have text on your site as far as seo goes. You can put images in the background of the page or table cells but its tricky to get right and visible and if you don't know html or css it can be a mess. If you have to design a whole page in PS maybe leave some empty spaces for text. I have no idea what you mean by 'saving' the image as a background...

There are lots of reasons to use more text than images on a site...not the least of which is seo. Text is also much lighter and loads faster than images.
I agree with Natalie...try to find some middle ground by leaving some spaces in your images for text. There's a lot you can do with text via css to make things look nice ![]() |

Type over text
Folks, thanks for all your advice.
As I said, my main concern is that with all these images, the engines may not think I am "content rich." Maybe I am being overly concerned because throughout the site there IS a bit of text. Actually, I hope I am being overly conerned--would save me a bunch of head aches. Your frank thoughts please. Below is a link to just one of such pages so you will see what I am driving at. Note that I do not always use that transparent square on which to place type. Sometimes I just over-write the picture--if the background is not too busy. Also, I usually always use ALT tags, but you will see that in this case I neglected to do so, but I will. This is a "moderately" adult site, so if you are going to be offended, don't go. http://www.sinfulescortsusa.com/Ariz...e-profile.html |
