methinks if a sponsor buys content then he should be able to furnish his affiliates about 25 watermarked images to use to promote his program

Lots of sponsors want content that is not given away for free on other sites. Some do, but few will pay extra to make up for the difference in sales. However many affiliates realise that using sponsor content can hinder them on the best sites, plus using sponsor content does not build their company and the sponsor owns the traffic they direct. So they want to leap frog other affiliates, build a portfolio of content and OWN THE TRAFFIC THEY GENERATE. So if in the future things change they can also change direction of the traffic. Some affiliates will never buy content, but a few do. |

I recall when Greenguy was running a program, he listed his content providers and affiliates could purchase the same content to promote his site. |

What I'm trying to do is maximise our profits for the long term rather than going for the quick bucks. I had this idea to get around sponsors who will only allow affiliates to use content on their site. With many themed sites I can see the reason, with most "General niche" sites I do not. So this way could give the affiliate who wants content not with 100 other people that day and yet still on the sponsors site. Sponsor gets traffic, affiliate gets traffic and yes we get business. |
