Affiliates buying content isn't solving the problem of oversaturation of free content , but the model of teaser content on banners and one or two pics would help solve the oversaturation problem
but that would basiclly wipe out the whole affiliate side of things like for example the taste test stands down at the local supermarket , where the new whizz bang cheese on the market offers you a bite size taste , your mouth waters over it , then the person says would you like to buy it , here we have this special prize of just $5.95, now they have your mouth watering for more ,so you take up the offer on a side note , that practice pisses me off , galleries showing content that isn't on the sites , when i buy shit in shops i want to see what was advertised , but that's off topic so i wont go there Last edited by biftek; 2006-04-22 at 12:21 PM.. |

An extension of the trial membership system would work. You get say 24 hours access with some areas restricted for $1, or whatever price, then get asked to subscribe.
What puts people off is the idea they have your CC details and you have to cancel or it will reccur. More acceptance of an e-wallet where you have to top it up from your CC and they can't just take your money would help there. Then the surfer could be asked to signup for a real membership via CC at a later date for some special discount deal, or whatever. |
