Arghhhh...submit yer sites ya ruddy swabs!

That may be a bit sticky for 2257 reasons. My understanding of 2257 is that a P.O. box isn't good enough...unless you or a staff member are IN that P.O. box 20 hours/week. Oh, and of course all your 2257 records would need to be in that box as well
![]() That said, I think the consensus on the board several months ago was that most reviewers don't want to be the 2257 police. So, how you deal with 2257 and your P.O. box I don't believe should cause you problems with link lists. When I'm checking out a new submitter and looking at their whois info, I don't care if it's a P.O. box. As long as their name or company name and address look reasonable and I can determine where they're hosted...I'm a happy camper Saw a whois the other night where the comedian had listed Buckingham Palace as his street address and Monaco as his city. Mr Funny Pants didn't get listed with me...and probably not with a bunch of other lists as well ![]() |

If something goes wrong at the plant, blame the guy who can't speak English

cheers Mr Yum
A little searching and investigation today left me wondering if I put MY name and address in the 2257 or the company whose images I am advertising? I was sure it was my details, as it was my site, but today I see other people listing their sponsors details as the 2257 record... confusing! ![]() |

Since 2257 was challenged in court, the secondary producer component is effectively on hold. So, I think most webmasters are back to status quo for now...listing their content provider as 2257 detail (sponsor content would likely use the sponsors 2257 info). All that said, I'm no lawyer and the 2257 issue is far too complicated to explain in a few lines. I'd strongly suggest you search these forums and others for more information on the subject and find your own comfort zone. Note that finding your comfort zone may require contacting a lawyer versed in 2257. |
