not much sleep here, but, out of the three things I wanted to accomplish yesterday, I finished up one today.

Wrote some code last night to work around some software that has passed its EOL by about two years.

Got a pretty nasty letter back from a company that I notified about security holes. They are going to stop giving away the software for free because "That will cut down on the security holes being discovered".

I see things floating in my pool in my present.

I am really getting fed up with these companies being deliberately neglectful, it makes them willful accomplices.
Mind sharing to protect the innocent?

Let me wait to see what happens since someone else reported it to bugtraq.

However, the code is a complete mess -- in addition to security issues, there are sql queries passed through the url -- almost inviting sql injection attacks.

Morning..

I hate the last weeks of school. too many errands to run -- goddess knows how i did this when I worked full time AND he went to Brick and Mortar school.

On an up note my little (HA HA HA) scholar will enroll at UNLV this summer as the only Nevada HS student invited to participate in an Earth Science program so i guess all the running around is worth it. Of course wait until he hears that part of this program is field work and he'll get to spend a few days touring inside Hoover Dam and at the Walker Lake Navy Base. I'm in big trouble.

So my computer time is limited over the next few days as he takes all of his finals. Maybe i'll catch up on my

sleep.
