Morning! Yep it's the first day of hurricane season here we go again! My closet in my office is full of canned goods, water, flashlights, candles and a shit load of batteries. We also bought a small window unit so we can a least have one room cool if needed. I thank Cleo for that idea

My rich neighbor put in a huge 24 Kwh generator that will run some of his central A/Cs plus just about everything in his house but his 250 gallon propane underground tank will only run it for 2.5 days and then he has to pray that he can get another propane delivery. After the last two hurricanes there was no problems in buying generators and one room A/C units at the local Home Depot so if we got hit bad again this year during a hot time of year I might pickup another one room A/C and a small generator to run it just to cool an extra room of my house as long as fuel didn't become a problem so that I didn't have to live in my bedroom again. I do have both a cable modem and a ADSL line for internet so hopefully at least one will stay working again after a storm. |
