And by "you guys" you're saying that the rest of the posters on the board did?

If you don't vote, then you have no right to complain about who's in office.

I do and I did vote. Just not republican. Sorry I can't make this any clearer.

I find it very interesting that hardly anyone admits to voting for the current regime but someone did. People who know me know I came out against the current regime in primaries.

Oh, those are fighting words
You know the majority of this board is anti-republican. Those fucking cocksuckers made their play yesterday with the stupid "I support the troops and there should not be an early pull out" resolution. Make sure your local member of congress didn't bend to the pressure. http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2006/roll288.xml

The new No Knock Law they passed has moved us even more off center toward Nazi Germany...

A few choice quotes for 642am:

Quote:
Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country
--Hermann Goring

Quote:
If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.
--Joseph Goebbels

Quote:
Think of the press as a great keyboard on which the government can play.
--Joseph Goebbels

I'm not really anti-republican. I am anti-Bush and always have been. You don't elect a former CIA director as President because that's not the type of person that likes the Constitution, Democracy or Freedom. All of our laws to protect freedom are designed to protect us from this type of President. He and his cronies do not like freedom or the Constitution or Democracy for that matter. How many times have his buds said "We'll do what's best for the party?" or "We're a team." They never talk about doing what's best for the people any more.

I know Dubya wasn't a Washington insider but his daddy was and that's who has made this man what he is.

I'm not really anti-republican but some of the people that hate democracy the most just seem to be republicans lately.

This is going to be interesting to watch because the current Iraqi government has been ranting for a few months now, how in 2 years the troops should be down to nothing in that country. Everytime they say it, our current leaders down play it with "well have to see what happens then". The Iraqi leaders are not stupid clones our government has put in place. They are saying 2 years for a reason. Two years, new leader who will most likly win under the pretense of getting the troops out of war. But we can all bet that the current government is working very very hard to infuse companies in that country with so much money they take control over the oil. I see this turning into the same thing in South America, where Exxon and a few other mammoth companies had control of their oil. I forgot the countries name but they have a new leader who has basicly told the oil companies they either give 60% of their profit to the country or get out. If they don't get out the military will take control over your drilling operations. I see Iraq pulling something like that 10 years from now, when oil is $500 a barrel. And their economy is just been fully raped to the point were people have no way of ever getting ahead.

I voted for him. I admit it and I have no shame in it. I am not a fan of Clinton, never was. Not that Bush was running against him but shit his totum pole flunky was running. The guy cheats on his wife 3 times that we know of lies to the public about it and then turns blow jobs into a non-sexual act. Part of his life style is whats causing us problems. 8 years of being a perv freaked out the religous nuts who now have come out in full force against anything sexual. Why did I vote for Bush? Simple my military job. I got tired of sitting on chairs that had wires sticking out of the seat and poked holes in my legs because the last president felt we did not need any money at all. So no money for new chairs or anything. Plus I got more rasies when Bush got in office.
I vote and always will. It's the only thing that gives me a voice. Sure you can go and march on washington but that rarly does any good now. Hell everyday you go there someone is marching for something. The main problem we have is simple. NO ONE IN CONGRESS READS THE LAWS THEY ARE PASSING. There should be a law against that. If you are in congress you can not pass a law until proof is shown you have read and understood the law. Sure less laws would be passed but the ones that make it would prob be common sense ones.

I'm anti-ignorance, a plauge that seems to be affecting more and more these days. It is a case of the blind leading the blind. The party is irrelevant, it is the final outcome that matters.

Games are for children, yet politicians play them everyday; they realize that there are many fools who will listen and believe their lies, time and time again, so they continue to tell them.

They dabble in machiavellianism, but cry foul when others do the same. Wanna play hardball? let's play.

"There is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in its success, than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things. "- niccolo machiavelli

Maybe they should make it an offence to create dumb laws, something like how they are trying to rein in those who file stupid lawsuits.
