Pearl Jams New Album

I got the new album and I haven't broke it in.. but I am curious to know what you guys think. So far I think its ok. Not as impressed as I thought I would be .. but maybe it needs time. I didn't think I would like "No Code" but it turned out to be a killer album after I got used to it.

So let me know.. bitch, moan. and complain!!

Peace,
- Gideon

or you can say something nice about Pearl Jam... I love them so thats cool too

I have it, but I made the mistake of buying it along with the new Tool & RHCP CD's on the same day. The Tool CD is really consuming my music life right now (as the other 4 have in the past) but from what I did listen to, the new PJ is good.

The new Pearl Jam is okay, they're always good, but right now I'm listening to a Howlin' Wolf box set someone got me (yeah, it's old blues, but it's still damn good).

Not a big pearl jam fan but do think this new CD is pretty cool.

Just picked up Soul Asylum's new CD and I like it a lot.

I like the new Pearl Jam. It's a lot more rockin than they have been the past couple of releases.

Speaking of Tool... I lost interest when I heard "Schism" more than a few times. I just get the feeling they are trying to be too deep in their lyrics (which make no sense to me anymore).

"I know the pieces fit, I know the pieces fit, I know the pieces fit, I know the pieces fit, I know the pieces fit, I know the pieces fit, I know the pieces fit, I know the pieces fit.... " (groan)

Here's some shallow lyrics that you'll be able to understand:
Quote:
I'm in my ride, cruising down the street
Got my system bumping to a twisted G beat
It's early in the morning and I'm smoking some bud
I'm horny as fuck and I need me a stud
I got this chick asking me for a ride
But I let her know quickly that I'm strictly dickly
I said sorry I can't help you miss
Because a faggot like G don't be fucking with fish
She gets upset and is flipping me off
Because her saggy ass tits don't be getting me off
I just laughed as I drove right by
But I don't give a fuck cause I'm so, so high
I'm thinking bout this dude that I fucked last night
And how his dick was big and his ass was tight
Sucking on my cock like a candy cane
Rubbing on my balls and fucking out my brains
I pulled out then I came in his mouth
I put on my clothes and I broke the fuck out
I keep it real cause you know my type
Cause a nigga like G lives the twisted life

That might be a bit of a stretch, but certainly lyrics are of paramount importance in music.

Otherwise we'd all be listening to Percy Faith and other elevator type music.

Oh hold on, you were being smarmy weren't you Greenie?

Well after a few days I have to say I really do like the new Pearl Jam. It has to be heard many times to get it into your system but then its a nice feeling after that. BTW, I also bought the Live CD Live On Two Legs.. I had it before but it got stolen.. its one of those must haves.. GREAT live album.

Useless - I can't believe I went to that site..!!
