The problem is that a lot of LLs/TGPs don't allow sponsor content(especially marked) so it can reduce the amount of traffic that you may be able to get.
I don't put my urls on banners or pictures, just on some video clips.

When you say that a lot of LLs/TGPs don't allow sponsor content, do you mean overused, seen-everwhere already sponsor content? I can't see the problem otherwise. |confused|

There are only a couple that do not allow sponsor content. In fact, I can name only one that specifically declares "no sponsor content" in his rules at this time.

As far as watermarking goes, it's your content and it's licensed to you. Most affiliates are worthless (as am I). If they want watermark-free content, tell them to go shopping. When you find that you have a couple of good affiliates producing most of your sales, approach them and ask THEM their preference and give them what they want. Otherwise, pick a corner and put Domain.com on your vids.

Have to agree - it's your content, you paid for it, protect your rights!

When that is said it should never be as big as the main attention is drawn to it, as some surfer might type the urls instead of clicking the banners and affiliates would definately not like that and not use it then.

Yeah I was wondering where else the content in the said TGPs/LLs would be coming from if not from sponsors...I mean if it came from the content producers themselves, what need would there be for affiliates? Unless I am totally missing something here. I like the logo idea for the vids and I am glad others think it is ok to put my url or site name in the promo clips. Our stuff is almost completely exclusive, and I'd hate to see it circulating the web without seeing any profit from that and leaving potential customers no way of finding me.

Some programs rely very little on affiliate sales where as others are based on them. If you find that you can produce higher quality and better targeted traffic than your affiliates, which is not a stretch, you'll know the answer to that one.

And the watermark logo/URL is not solely about potential type-in traffic. (How does anyone know what produces their type-in traffic?) It's about branding; establishing a recognizable name amongst the surfing perves.

Absolutely, but then again the branding should lead to more typins or you would have no point in branding your name for a paysite.
We do a lot in typein domains and it's clearly that the more popular our hosted stuff gets the more typeins, this goes for all domains we have but it's easier to brand(remember) something like tranny.com than bangamidget.com. Of course we can't tell for sure that's the reason but the factors we look at indicate this very clearly.

I'll bet sites like bangbus get tons of typeins because their videos are among the most popular on "fun" sites like littlemidgets etc... and has been shared a lot on kazaa etc...

Anyway, bottomline is that we agree on this I believe - Tyranni should definately stamp his videos
