The wife and I are HUGE GSP fans. We vastly prefer the stand-up guys anyway, but GSP stands out as being a highly dynamic and entertaining (and very likable) fighter. (Honestly, most ground guys are boring as all hell to watch. Gay porn is less gay.) The GSP/Hughes fight had us literally jumping up and down on the couch. (I even got laid after the fight, she was so excited) By far the best fight I've seen in a long time. That bastard farmboy never had a chance.

I'm with you all the way, UW. GSP is an awesome athlete and an incredibly intelligent and skilled fighter. He tore straight through Hughes and really bullied the bully. He'll be a great champion.

While I can appreciate the ground & pound style I'm not a fan.
I prefer to watch the likes of Chuck & GSP over fighters like Tito & Matt Hughes every time. Sure, it's very skillful and technical but there's something more honest about beating the shit out of someone with fists and feet.


Now the other big fight, Monson & Sylvia was tedius. I think big Tim is so afraid of losing that he comes to defend rather than attack. He showed some good skills but Brandon Vera will dance around him & pick him apart when they meet up.
