I got a wicked awesome hand made, fired-clay mask from my ceramic sculpting, artist brother. He calls him "The Guardian of Dreams" because the spirit came to him during a particularly lucid, Vicadin (prescription for surgery) induced dream.

He even wrote down the story of the spirit who resides in this mask, who's purpose is to protect against evil spirits from invading dreams, and occasionally demands sacrificial offerings of incense, booze, or even drugs, to keep his attentions sharp.

It's a perfect gift for this occasionally nightmare-plagued hippie!

But the best gift was spending quality time with all my lovelies.
