Ask Useless Warrior. He is the master of marketing.

Seriously, just take the advice given. It does take time to build traffic.

One other bit, as soon as you have 10 or so sites, build a hub and link to it from all of your sites. You'll be amazed at how much traffic you can generate from your sites, to your sites.
When you get a bit bigger either make more hubs in catgories or break your hub into categories. Traffic management is one of the biggest keys.

Reading through the thread, I noticed Greenie said build a site a day, and some others said build a free site a day. I've been concentrating on free sites since it seems to be the recommended way to get started, but man some of those spponsors have some damn fine, easy ways to build a nice avs site.

So the question would be: is it wise to move away from free sites and do avs....a combination perhaps?

Do both.

It's been a long time since I did anything with AVS, but from what I remember, an AVS site was just a big Free Site (4 galleries of 10 pics instead of 2)

So build an AVS site, save copies & clean it up & use that as a Free Site (and then take the galleries & submit them to TGP's)

AVS could be practice and a learning experience for a paysite.

Earlier in the thread you said build a site a day. Carefull here, think about managing all those sites if the traffic trades or even link trades.

Hub is a good idea too, except if ya piss someone off and they hack all of your sites and leave a trojan. Or someone wants to play hardball for SERP on a cash keyword. Speaking from experience on this.

My point is you can spread yourself to thin (leads to mental and health problems) and you need to manage risk too (or become a security expert). No substitute of enough $ to hire staff.

See sig.

Outside of gravedigging and perhaps sewage treatment, I can't think of a more disheartening industry to attempt to earn a living at. If it wasn't for an usually supportive wife and an entire array of mental illnesses, I would have given up a long time ago and returned to the workplace. Of course, there are those who could argue that I DID give up, but have failed to go find a real job. ( DrB)

That being said, just keep trudging along and work as many avenues as you can. The amount of competition out there is trememdous, but luckily for us, most of them aren't that smart.
