Morning!

A bit chilly here again this morning!

Hope all you with your colds get better soon. I feel the urge to wash my hands

I have never wanted a laptop before but hubby bought me one a couple of weeks ago. I have to say sitting on the loveseat and reclined is a great way to work.

Have a great day all!

I've used a laptop as my primary machine since '96 or so. Mostly, the problem was that data needed to be in two places, and as it exceeded the size of a floppy, it became too unwieldy. I've never used those docking stations, so, I've truly been using a laptop and the trackstick/trackpad as my primary machine.

One thing to note -- if you do it, get a suitably powered machine and plenty of ram. That will make it more enjoyable to use and you won't be frustrated because it is slow. If you sit in one place a lot, consider that docking station.

There is nothing like the freedom of being able to work in the office, bedroom, living room, outside (there are 3 days a year where this is possible in Florida), etc. I would never trade my laptop for a desktop again.

Busy day ahead -- for the project I'm helping my nephew with, we got the Circuit City Gift Cards with the logo that he designed. For $4.59 more than the gift card, you can put a 600x600 300dpi image on the card and I must say, it looks really nice. That project surely tested my mettle with some theories that I had come up with for another site. The great satisfaction was when he said, "Dude, that build_index function is awesome"

Back to the grind.

Oh she is a fast machine The docking machine is something I may have to look into. This gets a little warm on the legs at times. As long as I don't have to stop reclining though

Cleo you plug it into a big keyboard?? That is one of the things that kept me from getting a laptop for so long. I don't care for the keyboard on this thing but I'm getting used to it.

Antec sells a laptop cooler that has a fan and USB built in which you might be able to use. I bought myself one of those mini-whiteboards and velcroed it to the bottom of my laptop -- because the intake vents were on the bottom right where it would sit on your lap.

Keyboard, mouse, and monitor. I keep the laptop open so that I can use both screens for an expanded desktop.

Here is a really bad pic. I'm too lazy to go get my real camera.

I really don't understand why anyone would still use a desktop machine unless they needed the expansion slots of a tower or something like that.

Been using only a laptop for many years now. When I'm away from home everything is always with me and when I'm home I plug my laptop into a big LCD, keyboard, and mouse so it is just like a desktop machine.

Morning all. Well at least to those of us on the west coast. Been doing some house cleaning tasks, and now I'm parked to start working on porn. Other than a swing by the grocery store, I've got nothing else planned but that.

Cool and overcast, supposed to rain today, but so far it has just been threatning. We have had such glorious weather the last few days, I don't mind this...motivates me to stay indoors and work.

Have a good one all.
