Sponsor Kicked My Ass
I won't say which one since I love them, but I've sent them about 3k people and only one sale! Anyone else having the same troubles this period?
Usually, they do freaking awesome for me but looking at 1:3000 isn't very motivating

3k uniques? 1st page or 2nd page? Has the sponsor changed up the tour(s)? Added more traffic from varied sources (eg TGP links can be a bit on the 'blind' side so you get higher ctr but a falling ratio)?
In all honesty 3k is a little bit too low to start panicking *just* yet, 2 quick sales and you are at 1:1000 which depending on your traffic source yes, is still a bit high. Take another look after 10k unique 1st page hits and if they've stopped converting for you just move on. Happens to all of us now & then |

I'm not a free site guy for the most part, and there are a lot of variables, still, if you send 3K to the page where the sponsor is supposed to close the sale, and they don't, I'd be shopping for another sponsor
You pretty much do a site a day anyways, vary your sponsors.

I hustle for Hustler
|
I have been going through accounts and contacting people that have ratios like that. I go through their referral links and see what I think might help them get better sales and I bet you 1 out of 10 people I email bother to write back and take the help.

Life is good

1:3000 can happen but then again the next 3000 could be 5-6 or 10 sales. Scrubbing or simply traffic that doesn't want to buy. Maybe the paysite server was slow at the time loading slow. Anything can explain it, sometimes things happen.
Hang in there. Keeps up, stop promoting. |

i wouldn't start to worry just yet. if they've been good for you in the past I'd stick with them, if your ratios keep slipping than can them but to make a decision on a single period seems a bit hasty to me.
Just chill for a few months |

How was your ratio before the 1:3000?

3000 clicks to what? 1st page? 2nd page? if it's 1st page, then I've got sponsors not doing much better then that...
this stuff... I don't know, sponsors call these pages however they like. for some 1st page is the tour, 2nd page is the join page. for some 2nd page is the 2nd page of the tour, and they also count hits on the join page... just wondering what do you guys generally refer to when saying "2nd page"? I would assume 1st page is the (first) tour page, right?

Thanks for the assurance everyone
Prior to this period, i've been at about 1:500 ish. Im not going to give up on them just yet, unless this keeps up, but i'll give it a couple months.

Do what you can to see if there is a problem. If you go5000 without a signup, I would move on.

the best thing you can do for now PJ is wait another month or two then if you don't get any sign up then the easy way out is to move on.
i have 2 sign ups in 2 days but since weekend i haven't gotten any. |

Lots of sponsors convert at worse ratios for me. I try not to keep on promoting them, but hey, the links are there, so I am still sending them traffic. I am talking about overall ratios, as they appear in unified stats - so obviously a mixed bag of ratios, but still, at 1:6000 it's not a pretty picture.... Talking about some big sponsors too, as well as smaller ones. doing 1:5500 on a mix of CCBill sponsors for example (year long stats).
Now, here's the interesting bit. I have some sites which I operate as a joint project with another person. To separate revenue, I use two accounts with many sponsors (one for the joint projects and one for my solo projects). I am amazed at the difference sometimes. Same sponsor, same kind of traffic, same kind of promos (sales text etc) - one account at 1:600 and the other at 1:12000 (yes, one to six hundred vs one to twelve thousands). Go figure.
