Can anything be done about this?

Ok..........I'm gonna put myself out there as a complete stone, but other than supposedly having content that was searched for and is not there,what are they actually trying to collect...... information or emails? I'm really showing my age here and should probably ask my 15yr old, but if each search comes up with the search term followed by the same information time and time again there must be a reason other...........well, other than ads of course.

Please enlighten a web challenged individual.
