Someone told me I had 135 or something like that, but that is way off too... I have over 1000 free sites listed at that LL and I a HUGE submit queue where hopefully there are a lot of links too. What do I need to do to figure my correct number of linkbacks?

Google does not show an accurate count when you check back links. Try using Yahoo and see what the results are.
