When I was New York I used T-Mobile for international roaming. Worked all the time (as opposed to AT&T Roaming) and it was about 50% of the price of AT&T.
I have no idea - obviously - if that is any indication of T-Mobile in general. In the mean time I think I'll go hump myowners leg
