Content is king? Are you kidding?

You can have the best product in the world but if you don't put it in front of people, you won't sell it. (And in this business putting it in front of people means traffic)

Your right, but not getting the point. You gotta start with a good product in the first place. In this case a blog, a blog with good content. Plus if you have the best product in the world, people will find you, less traffic work.

If you start with a crappy or low quality product, where is most of the traffic you worked on generating going to go? Out the door and probably not come back. Why should they? So your constantly working on getting new traffic. Actually some what counter productive really.

If you have the best product in the world, your traffic is only going to grow, people come back, people stay longer on the site, they bookmark, they add the feed to their reader so they don't miss anything, ect, ect. You end up getting more from your traffic generation efforts.

Would the dyson vacuum cleaner be where it is today if it didn't make a great product? It's been talked about on this very board, word of mouth. Just one example.

I agree with that Ronnie.

That's why I don't push out 100s of rss splogs like some so called bloggers do and they wonder why they barely get by.

Traffic and good content will always beat traffic and shitty duplicate content that lazy bloggers push out.

But at the end of the day this is a numbers game and the more traffic one commands the more money they "should" be able to make.
