Importing sponsor hosted galleries into Wordpress

Thanks Walrus. These are great, but I was thinking of something a little simpler.

Say I have a FHG with a url http:/hotporngallery/affiliateid

and the name of the gallery is "Mandy's Sweet Ass"

I want to import it so that I will have an a ref style html code that says:

Mandy's Sweet Ass which when clicked will take me to the url where the galleries are hosted.

Make sense? The only way I can figure out how to do it now is C&P one at a time, and I'm working with hundreds.

BTW, those Playboy links in you blog..did you get the feed to reduce? How'd you do that?

Yep, it makes sense but I don't know of any really simple way of doing it.

I assume you want to put the links in your sidebar?

If its a web page, I guess you could do a view source, save that and then edit the source but that probably would take about as long as the copy and paste method....maybe not.

It's a thing I do when I'm lazy and feeling guilty cause I haven't updated my blog in a while...like now. XXX Blog Maniac is supposed to be a real blog ie. hand written and not full of sales text but my other life has been so time consuming the last couple of months that I've had to resort to cheating from time to time just to keep the damn thing alive.

What I do is I view the raw RSS feed. In either the content encoded section or the description section of the feed is the code that actually shows up from the reader. If you've never looked at a raw feed (or paid attention to it) it looks something like this

This example the sponsor uses both description and content:encoded for the page code.

So I cut the code out, modify it a little bit and presto, instant post for my blog. In the case with the Playboy post, I added a few words of my own and resized the picture.

That reminds me, I've got a long rant coming here one of these days about sponsors and feeds!

It might just fit your needs.

Nice trick. I haven't really looked at the code that much, but sounds like a cool way to have a pseudo handwritten blog and still take advantage of rss feeds. I might give it a shot...and yeah I'm all ears on the rant..

I'm looking forward to your reviews, this morning I had over 11,000 feed posts in BA I'm down to 7,600 now. At one time I was parsing feeds from 76 sponsors, I'm down to 46 now.
It took me four hours today to review my splogs (edit titles and fucked up html, delete gay posts in straight categories etc.).
Four hours is no bueno, just not worth my time.

I've noticed that just trying to get the feeds setup in my evaluation WP script. Seriously, a blow job category doesn't need shemales, does it.

When I'm finished I'd be almost willing to bet that there are only 10 sponsors who really have feeds that can be used across the gamut of ways there are to market RSS. Actually 10 maybe a very high number.

I'm also not a fan of morphing feeds. Lets be real, with all the webmasters out there building blogs at a rate that even free-site builders would be impressed, is morphing really going to make enough of a difference to matter and since Google typically likes to slap sites pretty hard when they think they are trying to be fooled, is it worth it.

If your business plan is to develop blog after blog of duplicate content and search engines are where you are planning the bulk of your traffic to come from then you had better build thousands of them so you can live off of a couple hundred hits a day to each.

I asked Kaktus about using Blog Scraper's photo editing capabilities with BA, he figured it would be easiest to just build that function into BA, so should be included in the next BA update
