I don't want to co-op this thread but here are the positions of the main political parties in Canada on health care:
Conservative Party: Wants private enterprise to help run the system. None-the-less, every citizen has a health card and is covered at doctor offices and hospitals. New Democrat Party (socialists): Wants all current health services run by the government and wants others like dental and 100% of prescriptions added. Liberal: Likes status quo of government running the hospitals. There are no ELECTED parties in Canada who support a private system. That's one reason why Republicans hate us.
