Nice storm going on here ;)

Snowing and blowing like I haven't seen since I lived in the Maritimes.
Left the pub half an hour ago for what's usually a 5 minute walk and just got in
The snow is coming down so fast you have whiteouts walking
When I was a kid down east we had a rope tied between the house and the barn for weather like this, so nobody got lost
I kinda like it!

We are getting hit also but nothing like you folks a bit south of me.. heard there is 20-30 cm snow expected for your area - only 10-15 up North where I am - I'm definately staying home - too many idiots on the road that dont slow down in whiteouts!

A good night to stay home for sure. First real winter this area has seen in the 15 years I've been here.

I miss the snow...I lived in pontiac michigan for a while and denver colorado for a while and today, actually, I flew from sacramento california over the rockies to florida...there was tons of snow on the rockies and it kind of made me homesick...a good snow is the shit every now and then but when the black ice shows up...then's when you're dreaming about about san diego... =) make a snow angel for me or give your little brother a white-wash... =)

I just peeked out the window .... HOLY COW!!! Looks like they underestimated the amount of snow we would get in Orillia.... and the snow is still falling with no signs of it slowing down - looks like I will be spending most of my day tomorrow shovelling snow since BlueBrit is in the UK till Monday.

Where in Canada are you Twiceshy?

11" here in way upstate NY as well from this storm. Nearby Burlington Vermont, NWS there has well above average snow this year. It has been a northern tier snowy winter for sure.

I grew up outside Flint MI, so I remember snow like that. I don't think I could handle it anymore, as I've lived away from severe cold too many years. Now, I just watch the snow on the mountains all around my town and think how pretty it is, and how glad I am it is up there.

Stay safe you guys. I know my sister and brother who still live in MI got hit with over a foot yesterday of snow where they are. Always worry about anyone who has to drive in a mess like that.
