Thanks Simon. At least on my Palm Treo, these sites appears as regular HTML. I was wondering if anyone had sites for mobile devices or detected mobile and switched to a simpler mode.

They don't detect automatically I guess, but the first site has this option: http://m.myiplayground.com/

The other site doesn't seem to have a version for mobile devices (pretty dumb!).

I have a plug-in on one of my wordpress blogs for WAP. I have no idea if any one has used it. I do remember seeing Ericson phone browser on the stats of at least one of my sites.

Hey guys, thanks for the mention of our site myiPlayground.
We recently launched a revamp of our mobile porn directory.

We now detect PSP's and phones. Our site looks great on the PSP and on the phones we tried. Most modern phones should scale our entrance page, but once you click on the entrance link the page that follows is formatted specifically for the device your on (it's on 100% width so it should scale on phones we haven't tested on).

Because we're limited to the phones we test with we'd love any feedback from you guys viewing the site on your mobile devices or PSP.

I'd like to hijack this thread to ask a dumb question:

How does one make porn for mobiles in the first place? Do you need special conversion software? How do you sell it? The whole thing is a mystery to me.

I have been considering making theadultsearchengine.com multi device capable but haven't decided the best way to approach this. I could add all .wap pages to one category and have a .wap and .html version of the page or setup a .wap as a sub category to each of the categories I have and list .wap sites in there. Judging from the submits I have for pages like that at the moment, I might just make one category for portable devices until things pick up in that area.

It is a good question. I have been doing some research. I believe that the new Google Android based phones could break this market wide open. These open source phones are scheduled to be sold starting late this fall.

Right now there are a real lack of standards with respect to cell phones. Some can view MPEG-4 movies while others are limited to the 3GP or 3GPP format. Screen sizes differ too. Except for the iPhone and a few other newer phones, most browsers are limited to the crappy "mobile web".

Another stifling factor is that in North America we can't use our cell phones to pay for things. That means that the initial porn purchase must be done on a standard PC. None-the-less, it is a growing field and with more regular affiliate programs offering MPEG-4 downloads.

The Android based phones will be similar in style to the iPhone or Blackberry. I've seen demo models of both types. They will run a version of Linux and the operating system will be free (as in free beer -- no cost -- and free speech -- open source code). These phones will, in fact, be small computers and the initial price is thought to be about $200 for an unlocked version. Google has a contest on with, I believe, $10 million in prizes to see who can make the best applications for the phone.

Will these phones finally make the mobile market take off? Who knows but I think it may be the best chance so far.

Im a little confused on how your going to make a sell. Couldnt you sell screensavers and movies and ring tones. and make them pay through there phone like other ringtone sites and such.
