Anybody know anything about the Sony Cybershot H50?
http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/H50/H50A.HTM
I've had my eye on it for a while. The only thing in its class that I have seen (in terms of optical zoom adn megapixels) is the Nikon Coolpix P80, but the Sony seems to have more features. I have an old 35mm SLR and was once really into photography, but now I'm just the designated family photographer. I love the digital SLRs, but really do not need an SLR. I can't seem to get used to those little pocket cameras, and this camera as well as the Nikon just feels good, like a high end camera. Downside, there's no hotshoe, and I can't used my old Vivitar 285 flash with it... Anyone used one of these? |

I looked around and decided to buy the Canon PowerShot S5 IS i love it as i wasnt happy with my little pocket camera. I found this offered great features. As well as easy to manage and setup. unsure about the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H50.
Just thought i would give someinput on another choice maybe ![]() |

Be sure to read the reviews on http://dpreview.com/
They tend to be the least biased and most in-depth of any I've ever read |

Well you know boys, a nuclear reactor is a lot like women. You just have to read the manual and press the right button

I've been a semi-pro photographer most of my life (dad owned a camera shop when I was a kid and my minor was in photography) and I've used dpreview.com since the late 1990's as my main source for digital camera reviews and comparisons. I'm not particularly brand loyal but I do have a considerable investment in Nikon lenses so I tend to stick with cameras with Nikon mounts. I can say that I've really loved both the Nikon and Fuji DSLRs that I've owned over the years. I have a wonderful S2 that I haven't had out of the bag in over a year - time to do some creative work!
