Actually they did win once more, in 1964, which was the second edition of the european championship, hosted in... U guessed it, spain They beat the Russians 2-1 in the final then (but the soviet union was way better way then - they had won the first edition).

So now they've got 2 wins in 13 editions... sounds good to me... only them and France won it twice, and germany 3 times: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Eu...l_Championship

All in all a nice tournament. Can hardly wait for Beijing in august, and for the world championship 2 years from now!

yep my bad, they did win the euro thing 44 years ago, hell thats a long time 44 years, i know i am old but i am not that old...oke i am nearby that age
