I'm all about live and let live. I'm cool with people who like to hunt, people who are vegans, people who have abortions, and people who choose not to have abortions. As long as they don't impose their shit on me. Abortion isn't something I care for, but I can't see how anybody thinks its their business to tell a woman what to do with something growing inside them. And that comes back to the topic and why most of Hillary's supporters are not going to support McCain just because he picked a female Veep.

Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner.
My wife and I were discussing that very thing this evening. The MILF is a woman, but she doesn't have the same modern woman ideals that Hillary does. Ideologically, she's like a really hot farmer's wife. Being anti-abortion and pro-guns probably won't fetch as many female voters as they hoped for.

Speaking of guns, does the average democrat care all that much about guns either way? I know that politicians like to repeatedly outlaw the same automatic weapons that have been illegal since 1929, but when is the last time anyone has proposed any real heavy anti-gun legislation with serious intentions of doing something? I heard Obama mention the importance of retaining the right to bear arms while getting AK-47s off the street last night. But that's only because he's never held one. They're really cool - and loud. (Yes, I'm one of those guys who doesn't want other people to have guns, but wouldn't mind a few myself. But just the cool ones.)

covering up for her daughter is the only thing that makes since.
Some high definition photos of her squirting milk out of her tits is the only way I'm going to believe it's really her kid

Today on "Meet the Press" Brokaw read a quote from Palin's mother in law:

"I am still stunned over Obama’s speech, I am not sure who I will vote for, and I am not really sure what she brings to the table other than being a female".

My father, who is a die-hard Republican even though he's never stopped to consider the fact that his own beliefs don't mesh with his party, was just singing the praises of Obama last night at dinner after hearing Obama's speech at the convention. Suddenly, my fairly racist redneck father respects the hell out of Obama and likes him more with each thing he learns about him.

If the Republicans got over the whole "family values" thing, they wouldn't be so bad. I just can't believe there are people who are more worried about fetuses being aborted and gay people getting married then they are $4/gallon gas and unnecessary wars.

Yea mine too, he was pretty racist, although he never showed that side of himself to us kids until we were much older.

I agree with Obama's statement, that kids should be off limits in political races, but I think that Palin's belief in only teaching abstinence education should be attacked...not only are kids with raging hormones going to have a hard time with that, but without any sex education about STDs they are going to get into a world of trouble over that and may just get something like aids that could kill them.

Well IF her daughter is PG and supposedly she's 5 month which means while her mom is out licking her wounds from losing she'll be giving birth. However it will be interesting to see WHEN exactly she gives birth. Probably by February..which by then Palin's 15 minutes of fame will be over.

Hopefully.

While I agree that "children" should be off limits.. she (the daughter) is participating in Adult behavior, therefore should be game and leaves ample opportunity to prove that her mother cannot control her own family, abandoned her 5 month old child, fired someone because they wouldn't comply with her "order" to fire her ex-BIL out of revenge..so how is this person qualified to be a heartbeat away from the Oval Office???

I also find McBush’s whole VP search to be as “interesting” as Bush’s. They had some GOP’ers on “Meet the Press” today who said McBush has been fighting hard to have Joe Lieberman as his VP and finally came to terms last Monday that it couldn’t be Joe and that he has only personally met Palin 2 times and both of them was very brief so he is taking the word of his staff to making a huge decision like this which was made Wednesday night.

So in 2 days he went from “It must be Joe” to “What’s her name?”

I think this is going to turn out biting McBush on the ass since this is just more examples of his “leadership”. This election went from “Mavrick” vs “Change” to “Same Shit, Different Day” vs “Change” I don’t think I have ever seen such 2 drastically different policies going head to head like this. Too bad McBush sold out to get the nomination, I never agreed with everything he said and did, but at least he was somewhat trustworthy.

RIP McCain 2000
Rot in Hell McBush 2008.

What I don't get is the people who call her "hot" and a "babe". To me, a 44 year old mother of five is far from what I'd consider "hot".

Considering the attached pic, she looks more like her husband's mother than his wife.

She's anti-abortion and pro-death penalty, as well as pro-gun and supports teaching creationism in public schools.

Do we really need another backwards, redneck hypocrite in the executive office? I say NO!!

This 54 year old man thinks she's hot as hell as long as she keeps her mouth shut (the pitch of her voice reminds me of fingernails on a chalk board).
I do agree she is a friggin hypocrite that should be at home taking care of her herd of kids instead of politicking

Her 17 year old unmarried daughter is pregnant:

http://www.nytimes.com/reuters/us/in...=1&oref=slogin

Personally, I don't give a shit. It happens all the time. But I bet it's still embarrassing to the right wingers, or whatever you want to call the republicans. McCain claims he knew. The article also states that the republicans are announcing it now to counter this weekend's rumors of Palin being the grandmother of her newborn. So, in other words, they're politicizing a 17 year old's pregnancy.

She has that something extra that all republicans hated but admired in Bill Clinton and loved and admired in Ronald Reagan.

And then there is this

"Officials of the Alaskan Independence Party say that Palin was once so independent, she was once a member of their party, which, since the 1970s, has been pushing for a legal vote for Alaskans to decide whether or not residents of the 49th state can secede from the United States.

And while McCain's motto -- as seen in a new TV ad -- is "Country First," the AIP's motto is the exact opposite -- "Alaska First -- Alaska Always.""
