And Lord, we are especially thankful for nuclear power, the cleanest, safest
energy source there is. Except for solar, which is just a pipe dream

What I don't get is the people who call her "hot" and a "babe". To me, a 44 year old mother of five is far from what I'd consider "hot".

Considering the attached pic, she looks more like her husband's mother than his wife.

She's anti-abortion and pro-death penalty, as well as pro-gun and supports teaching creationism in public schools.

Do we really need another backwards, redneck hypocrite in the executive office? I say NO!!

This 54 year old man thinks she's hot as hell as long as she keeps her mouth shut (the pitch of her voice reminds me of fingernails on a chalk board).
I do agree she is a friggin hypocrite that should be at home taking care of her herd of kids instead of politicking

Her 17 year old unmarried daughter is pregnant:

http://www.nytimes.com/reuters/us/in...=1&oref=slogin

Personally, I don't give a shit. It happens all the time. But I bet it's still embarrassing to the right wingers, or whatever you want to call the republicans. McCain claims he knew. The article also states that the republicans are announcing it now to counter this weekend's rumors of Palin being the grandmother of her newborn. So, in other words, they're politicizing a 17 year old's pregnancy.

I also like that Palin supports abstinence education only and not sex education. Geeze, didn't seem to help keep your 17 yr old daughter from getting preggo now did it? Be interesting to see if she has the baby "early" and in time that she could have given birth to her mothers 5th baby.

And what do you bet the father was forced to marry her? I'm sure her daughter and the father had enormous pressure to marry and keep the child.

And the amazing thing is that her daughter's teenage pregnancy probably won't become a huge controversy in the news media (thanks in part to the Katrina Part II coverage). The pregnancy and Palin's stance on absintance-only education probably won't be more sensational than Obama's flag pin "controversy." The leftest pundits will be afraid to attack a candidate because a 17 year old girl is half the controversy. And the controversy is, as you pointed out, the candidates belief in pro-abstinence only sex-ed and the news of her daughter's teenage pregnancy.

So, because of this woman's political affiliation and beliefs, this pregnancy can be filed under "a gift from god."

I just read about the daughter's pregnancy on cnn.com and all I can say is wow, wow, wow... how in the world could McCain think that this misguided woman would set an example for the rest of us?

And you're right, they'll probably spin it as a "blessing".

It's interesting to note how the Obama campaign has been almost completely silent over the weekend, I suppose they're smart enough to sit back and let the McCain/Palin campaign bury itself.

What worries me though is that even with all his problems, Bush got elected twice, so who knows how this will all play out.

I saw parts of this on the daily show last night but Karl Rove hits the nail on the head

Of course this was August 8th regarding Democrat Tim Kaine. He has since changed his mind.
