Morning..
Tomorrow is the "official" start of classes here so I think today is a good day to just kick back and get ready for the next 9 months.

You'd think with all the construction here at a halt, there would be plenty of finish carpenters available for side work at "reasonable" rates. I need some built-ins done and i've had quotes ranging from 750-2500$. I can buy sets of shelves and attach them to the wall myself for about 1/2 that. Anyway I have 2 people coming today to give me more quotes. Let's see if they are any better.

...yes I'm back and the daily drivel can continue.

Good luck to everyone in the path of Gustav that opted not to evacuate and FanTC.. keep us updated on your status. As a side note: Don't you just LOVE how Bush et. al. is now all concerned for NOLA?? Pulease .. as if anyone with 1/10 of a brain cell couldn't see through that anymore than McCain thinking adding someone with a Vagina will get him the "female" vote.
