I don't know what macs and PR have in common.. but if you want to sell a site, the potential buyers ask your PR, Alexa rank, SE ranks, income first etc.

Yes, PR is an indication of the value/quantity of a site's inbound links. That's about it. It's zero indication of traffic quantity and quality. People purchase PR inbounds thinking that those links will bring them traffic by lifting them higher in the SERPs, however, it doesn't do enough.

Silly link buyers.
