I'll zip up terminal of 10.5 to you as well. I just did a lsof | grep Terminal and got a list of files that it opens.

I would suspect that LucidaGrande.dfont and/or Monaco.dfont
got deleted when she trimmed her system files.

yup. Those would be easy to pop into place and test if you get it to launch.
