Does this happen to anyone else?
I'm not naming names, because it could be piss poor luck on my part, but I now have 4 sponsors where rebills suddenly stopped just a few dollars short of the min payout. It's frustrating when you have $90.50 in revenue, but the min payout is $100.00..and when I promote them to push it over the min, I get no sales.
When this happened the first time, I just moved on...now that I've got 4 I'm staring to wonder...(?). Coincidence or evil sponsors..or something else??? |

I haven't noticed anything like that, but I do have monthly rebills that have no originating sale. I'd inquire about those orphan rebills, but I have the feeling that they would come to a halt. So fuck them - I'm keeping what they give me. I don't want them to "fix" their stats. (If they want to pay hundreds of dollars per month for pretty stats that don't work correctly, fuck 'em.)

I've had something like this happen...I don't think it was any conspiracy stuff or nothing like that...it just sucks because you gotta wait so long for them to pay out...that sucks bro but you're not the only one that happens to...

I had a sponsor like that. I got right below the min, and then nothing. I stopped promoting them 2 months after that. Then six months later i got a check for almost double the min payout. I checked my stats. And The funny thing was, When they switched to nats, I started seeing "orphan" rebills. Make of it what you will, But i believe most sponsors dont really pay attention to the smaller payouts.

At the same time, this pattern is not exactly new - been watching it for over a decade now. It can take several forms, the first is the example you gave. The other is where you elect to use a sponsor and throw a lot of traffic at them and the results can be excellent for.. usually around 8-12 weeks - then conversions sink into oblivion, tho traffic levels and sources of the traffic have remained the same. There can be genuine reasons for this, but there is also reason for doubt when it occurs regularly. The tendency now is to 'play' with a new sponsor for maybe up to six months before taking them on seriously and spending time on promo and creatives - this could also be a clue for you. |

Let them know you were just testing something if you feel really guilty. Signup under a revshare link and not tell them. If they say anything be like you were reviewing the members area to better promote the program. |
