You are starting out. buy a cheap .info for $0.99 from godaddy or whoever is running a promotion.

Get the cheapest hosting plan from hostgator (or even the next one up). They are under $10/month and for someone starting out they offer enough.

Then, once you are doing well you can always add additional domains and move to better hosting. But for someone new this is all that is needed.

If you have the extra $$$, buy a decent .com, as it is not that much more expensive.
