Wow. That's one hell of a load average you have there as well! I'd probably reboot it but with the host and a tech (unmanaged?) on standby.

It hosted in our own rack. the load being more or less its normal as its a mysql master doing random reads/writes to a 12GB database while two (sex) slaves eats humps of its juice too.

My personal belief is that people get overly worried about kernel updates. Unless they are critical updates, I rarely update my kernels. Once a server has been online 3-4 years, I ask the DC to give me a new box with new kernels and OS.
Once I have a box running well, I tend to leave it alone except for system and software updates. |
