Good Morning! The ability of a person to wake up effectively in the morning may be influenced by a gene called "Period 3". This gene comes in two forms, a "short" and a "long" variant. It seems to affect the person's preference for mornings or evenings. People who carry the long variant were over-represented as morning people, while the ones carrying the short variant were evening preference people.

MadHatter and I must have different forms of the genes, as I tend to be a morning person, him a night person.

Morning all! Just waking up and getting to work. Had to deal with my cat throwing up on the carpet. Yucch, always makes me slightly ill, but she is doing fine, back on my desk demanding more petting. Just work and the chiropractor planned today, so more of the same old thing.

My grandson goes back to school tomorrow. I will miss him but not all his little friends that have been hanging around all summer

My husband went back to work after 4 days off, so today I need to clean house and get some work done.

Christy does cat puke and I clean up the remains of their kills. One of the reasons we don't have any carpet is due to the cats but still they seem to find someplace to puke that makes it hard to cleanup like on our microfiber couch.
