Well for the first one it's very easy to take the whole gallery in with one glance and overlook the top and bottom ads. I would make bigger, clearer thumbs without the url text and have more sales text. Surf the TGPs and look at all the different designs and ways to sell. I critiqued a gallery like this at http://www.howling-wulf.com/2009/06/...sign-review-1/

Second one is slightly better in terms of ad placements in the actual gallery.
