Day 1 with Chameleon TGP Submitter

Well I was so impressed after 6 days of running Chameleon Link List submitter, that I thought I'd take the plunge and buy 1 month of the TGP version.

It has 1400+ tgps to submit. My first run produced about 200 eligible tgps, I suppose based on my category "brunette".

anyway, the error/reject rate was a bit higher. I'm guessing about 15%. Several because my new host webair is blacklisted! Didn't see that coming. A few because they reached their daily limit, and a few more for having images too small in size. Two just timed out, the submit page wouldn't come up. Some other misc errors that I have to check out later.

Other than the webair being blacklisted and the tgp hitting their arbitrary limits, I should be able to get the reject rate down to a minimum.

I just used a basic template from before, but new images. The learning curve was much shorter since I learned how to use the LL submitter a few days back.

Still, it took me about 4 hours to do everything. I think I can knock this down to a couple of hours once I get the hang of it.

I'm curious to see how much traffic I get from the tgp vs the LL. I'm still way shy of getting enough traffic to measure any meaningful stats, never mind making any money.

I'm so tired. I understand now when Howling Wulf said he could only submit about 5 galleries/day. Even with this awesome tool, I've only scratched the surface of the work that needs to be done: Taking notes about rejection, noting tgps that accept more than 1/day then setting up groups, tracking which tgps sent traffic, tracking which sponsors convert their niches, etc...

Time to go watch my season sets of King of Queens. Thanks of reading.

mark, I'd be very interested in you following this up periodically..maybe even week to week. Your being "new" and trying something that has been around a good while is interesting to me and I'd be interested, as Im sure others may be as well, with how things go. I don't necessarily mean cash totals for sales etc. but maybe just a break down of week to week how many sales/sponsor clicks/gallery view you receive.

This is not my own experience BUT I was told that CS would barely get you 500 clicks to a gallery. I'd like to know what your experience is with it.

All the best.

Hi, Jester

I am keeping a public log of my efforts at my blog (see sig link). I go into a little more detail there. I'll try to update daily.

I will keep the forum posted of my progress a little less frequently, only because I don't like to bump threads when no one is really interested.

I'm pretty impressed with the software so far. I have some mixed feelings though. If I don't get any significant traffic, my time may be better sent getting a few paid partner accounts and submitting only to those.

I think the software will still save me a lot of time even if I only submit to 10 partner accounts. Don't have enough data to make that decision yet, but will keep everyone posted on that as well.

Thanks for reading.

P.S. My pen name for the adult business is generally mark6188, but sometimes I use rob6188. My real name is Rob Rogers, so if there are any tgp and link list owners reading this, I use my real name when requested in the form, or one of my two pen names (primarily mark6188).

I don´t post much because the language restrains me (takes too much time to get the spelling and grammar right) and I´m sure I´m not the only one, but I read every new post on the board and I listen to OTB every saturday and try to suck in everything I can about this, and I´m sure there are hundreds like me on this board only
I have a house and family and work 12-14 hours a day away from home so people lik you, HowlingWulf and Matyko is a huge timesaver for me and all the other "weekend hobby affiliates" (webmaster wanabies )

I bookmarked your blog

Mark,
I am a newbie like you and I used chameleon submitter for a full month and in my experience with it I really only got good traffic from the Hun with it so i didn't renew my subscription for it because I can submit to the hun manually. Now the chameleon link list submitter is a different story. I seem to get steady traffic using it to submit. Now its probably also possible that I could just manually submit to the top link lists that send the most traffic but I feel like im happy with the results its giving me so i will probably renew it.

I've learned a lot from HowlingWulf's blog. Haven't run accross Matyko yet.

@major
Thanks for the feedback. Keep us posted on your results and/or satisfaction with the software.

Right now, I couldn't be happier with the software. It's doing it's job. I just need to make sure I do mine. I think it would still be a great time saver even if you just used it for partner accounts. Once you start submitting to 10 or more tgps, I think the software pays for itself in just the time savings alone.

Mark- thanks for the input, I'll be sure to check the blog updates as well. All the best.

The only thing I will add about the CS Link List Submitter is that many of us don't really like it, especially when our link is mashed in with 5-10 dead or link lists that don't adhere to the rules.

Hi, Jester.

I don't think CS LL is putting up dead links. I have submit confirmations for all of them, so I can only assume those links are working.

As far as other LL owners not following the rules, I didn't think about another level of etiquette. You'd think they would follow the same rules that they impose on submitters. Of course, that's a big assumption.

What I'd like to do over the next few days is start finding new free LL to submit my sites. I may also consider 1 PA for LL and 1 PA for tgp. That should be within the $120 left I have to spend this month.

I also have your site bookmarked and linked from my blog. I'm starting to get a feel for the business and can see where your services can save me some time and improve my bottom line.

Question I have for you about the writing services. Can you stuff 2 or 3 keywords of my choice into say a 200 word blog post? Do you post directly to my blog on a schedule?

Thanks.

@all
I'm getting the feeling that using CS "as is" is not enough. It needs to be augmented with a personal list of sites not in their current database.
Whether it be free/paid partner accounts, doing your own research to find sites, or building/networking with other webmasters.

I'm hoping that blasting my sites and galleries out there will at least give me some seo link juice. I'm starting to see some new search engine traffic on keywords I'm targetting.

Anyway, still have 3 weeks to go on my current CS subscription. Gonna make the best of it.

Is CS really a good option for freesites? I looked at it some time ago and wasn't overly impressed.

For free sites, the choice would be chameleon link list submitter. Although traffic I'm getting right now is steadily increasing, it's not anywhere near enough to get consistent sales.

But as I said above, I don't think it's enough to use chameleon "as is". It needs to be augmented with your own sites and partners accounts.

I'll try and post some stats when I get a handle on how to add them up. I have to combine the webair control panel stats, google analytics, and awstats on hostgator. I'm trying to spread the bandwidth out so that all of my sites don't go down at once if I suddenly get a surge of traffic on a particular host.

Mark,

I agree you may find you will have to tweak the database for both CS LL and TGP submitter to suit your needs. Submitting in general like all other aspects of adult is a trial and error type of activity. You will see what works with it and what doesn't if you stick with it over the course of time.

Mark, I can certainly write the posts to your needs. And I can either write the posts up and send them to you in a text file or I can write them directly in your blog's admin area.

My personal feeling on this LD, is that its good for the smaller Link lists that are included not so much the 40-50 top ones which I think are better off hand submitted to, including yours and my own.

I'm still getting acceptance emails from tgps I submitted to with CS over 2 years ago and I'm getting a signup every now and then from galleries I submitted with CS months ago so while CS doesn't seem tto pay off right away it's worth the $24.95/month in the long run.
Ofcourse 1 gallery with the hun equals a full month of submitting with CS

Just thought I'd update the forum directly today.

I'm into my third week with chameleon, building a free site, building tgp galleries, then submitting almost every night (I've missed two nights). Takes about 4-5 hours each day (down from 6+ hours the first week).

So far, I estimate about 25k unique visitors and about unique 1300 clicks to sponsors. I'm analyzing stats and guess between 3-5% click through to sponsors. A little less than the above numbers (1300/25000) suggest, but still pretty good. I still have no sales at this point that I can directly attribute to the above efforts. Hopefully by next month I will have the tracking ids down a little better. Right now there are too many unknown clicks mixed in with the tracking id clicks.

I've also started contacting other webmasters about partner accounts and grouping recips together. I have my first paid partner account with tommy's. I just setup my free partner account with persian kitty tgp. I also had my submit pass account approved today so I can purchase more partner accounts.

I'm pretty happy with chameleon. It's taken a lot of the hard work out of doing tgp an LL submits. I'm pretty sure I'm going to continue another month subscription, as I'm still learning a lot from using it.

I have a few other ideas for blogs and building my own directory/link list/tgp. But right now the current routine is about my limit in terms of energy.

Should I just need to keep plugging away like this? I don't mind hard work, but I don't want to be spinning my wheels either.

Anyway, I'm gonna stick to plan A till Dec 3rd. Right now I'm open to suggestions as to what to do after that. I want to get a head start on researching so I can hit the ground running.

So what do you recommend I start doing on Dec 3rd?

Thanks

I'll keep an eye on this thread, thx, very interesting :-) I'm actually starting submitting to LL, will re-try submitting to TGPs too again. But to be honest, it's not fun :-(
