I was given an old G5 iMac because they owner said it would only run an hour or so before shutting down. I took it apart and cleaned out the dust that was stuck to cigarette smoke that was totally plugging up its fans. It run great now and I've turned it into a picture frame that does slide shows in our living room.

We have dust stuck to cat hair in ours. We have to blow out all our standing fans too occasionally, or they really get plugged up.
