Android and other mobile phones does this movie play?
I just found out that .m4v movies don't play on Android phones so now I'm going with .mp4 extension. It's the same movie just a different extension.
I only have an iPhone testing so looking for people Android phones are any other as well to test. http://www.pameladoll.com/media/join/mobile.mp4 |

My phone prompts me to download the file, once downloaded it plays fine in the default media player.

Oddly out of all the Android uses you are the only one that can't play a mp4. I wonder if it has something to do with Verizon's phone lockdown?

I had a member who couldn't play any videos on his Andriod .. from memory he was told (I think at a store) that a plug-in was coming out. This was over 6 months ago now though.

It looks like the video would need to be in one of these formats.
Video formats: 3GP (MPEG-4). WMV (Advanced Systems Format), AVI (divx), MKV, FLV Audio: FLAC, WAV, Vorbis, MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA, AMR-NB, AMR-WB, MID, AC3, XMF Odd since it says it supports mpeg-4 which is what this movie is but I guess it doesn't like the mp4 extension. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S I'm finding that trying to support all the different flavors of Android is impossible. |

My phone seems to play 320x240 resolution and that is it. You have your movie slightly different, (I tried one that was 355xsomething) and I can not watch it.
So far I've encoded as MPEG-4 AMR_NR 3GPP (*.3gp) and as iphone Mpeg-4 normal format (*.mp4) in the 320x240 size and they play just fine. If you want to support older phones, my suggestion is a movie that is 320x240.

My Android phone's default browser downloaded the mp4, but played music with no video. I was able to download and view the video with my secondary browser, Skyfire. I installed Skyfire the other day because Android's browser can play YouTube videos, but not the Flash videos on my own site. Skyfire handles them beautifully. I read that the next version of Android with have Flash 10, but those of us with previous versions may never get the update - and my phone is brand new.
