Feels like the days are already getting shorter. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Up at Christy's parents before going over for her silly goddess ceremony that she wants for her thirtieth birthday that she has been planning for over a month so I'm being very careful not to call it silly.

Hoping to get back home before it gets too late so that I can get some work done.

Morning. So last night I really dug more into the Django web framework. It's just awesome. Once I think I dial it in more it will be just awesome for creating sites. It's ability for creating an admin area just based on the database and a couple lines of code is just rad.

Yesterday with the lady out of town I ate pizza, drank whiskey, and did a lot of work.

I also watched some horrible tv shows. That and setup up some of the last bits on my new system to make it so I can use it now on the daily. A fresh new system feels so nice.

Anyway...Drinking coffee and continuing working through tutorials on django today. At some point I'll go get something to eat and then continue work.

Now, pylons has been replaced by Pyramid which is what we're using for 99% of our stuff (we do have two django apps, and one native tornado app), but, some of the things that you might find useful, i.e. much more powerful ORM - you can't find in Django. Sure there is a Django-SQLAlchemy project, but, you either need to duplicate schemas, or, lose the admin interface.

Congrats though - also check djangosnippets.org(?) - plenty of code/apps already written.

Thanx for the snippet link. Yea, currently for the projects I'm looking to build I'm sure the custom ORM will work out. Knowing about the other frameworks is always good. I'll take a look at the pyramid docs a little closer later this week.

For a project that I'm looking to use this on I'm happy to just have a nice app for oauth to plugin for people to use facebook to connect.

I'm all for not having to reinvent the wheel.
