Free hosted sites. I run a link list and I use them occasionally.
Another useful tool (my opinion) is "random rotated hosted banner". Very few sponsors offer this, it a shame, you can put a link to a banner and having it changed automatically with no work on your side. When I can, I download all banners of a certain size and I ramdomly rotate them using a my own script. But setting it up it's time consuming. Finding it ready to use it's a great plus.
