I was using the m4v extension until I found out that non iOS devices didn't know how to handle it so switched to the mp4 extension since it works on iOS devices and non iOS devices. It's the same file, just a different extension.
I've always stayed away from wmv because it can't be protected against hotlinking. |

If anyone knows those figures I'd be grateful for that info. It's likely however based on what you've said, there will be a conflict with non iOS devices as well. Safest certainly is the flv... I'm using Episode version 5.3.2. There is a newer version out but I'm still using the older version.
