Assuming that you have free sites, blogs and blog posts.

Currently, when webmasters submit a link to a blog root or blog post, they select "blog post" on the submission form. When the links are published, It says if the link is a free site, blog post, gallery, or other. All links, no matter which type, are published together in their chosen category page..

That's too complex for my coding skills, aggregating into different categories and such.

Yeah it's not easy to implement a rss reader from scratch...
Also you would have to get some cron jobs to pull the feeds from time to time...

But the think could get easier if webmasters submitted the feed for a category..
