A good Sunday the 16th of the 12th month!

Had planned on a relaxing afternoon yesterday but then we saw water coming up through the ground outside of our garage when we were doing laundry and the drain was backing up.

Got out a shovel and started digging.

Discovered that a joint at an elbow on the sewer pipe had come apart due to a tree root pushing the pipe apart. The pipe was full of roots were it had come apart and in the roots was the remains of the kayaking glove that had gone down the drain months ago. After lots of digging and using a chainsaw to cut away the roots we were able to glue the pipe back together so the total cost of the repair was one bottle of PVC glue.

After spending a lot of time getting dirt, sewerage and glue off of our bodies watched the movie Savages lasted night. Thought it was a good movie but it doesn't get good reviews.


Doing some gardening today and then tonight doing a night paddle around the waterways to see all the pretty holiday lights.
