![]() Morning
19 years ago today, Kurt Cobain of Nirvana (supposedly) took his own life, although the world would not find out until 3 days later when his body was discovered ![]() Music has always been a major part of my life and I am still a HUGE Nirvana fan. My CD collection contains MANY bootleg and unreleased Nirvana songs. Kurt was (and still is) a GOD to me and every year around now & his birthday (Feb 20th) I feel a strange depression come over me, almost like I lost a loved one ![]() But enough of me being mushy, there's porn to sling! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The joys of home ownership... Just finished grouting our shower.
Never have been a Nirvana fan but death sucks. ![]() We are still having storms from hell. Yesterday we even had hail hitting the house. I had planned on going to the gym today but that is not a good enough reason to drive in this storming mess. One chapter to go for the Adobe Dreamweaver book. I've really learned a lot doing this book and not just about using Dreamweaver. I'll probably keep on using GoLive for doing adult promo pieces but will be using Dreamweaver for the next mainstream site that I do. Work, work, Adobe classroom book and more work is the day's plans so far unless it stops raining and the streets dry off. |

Everyone (not just Cleo) - Do yourself a favor & pick up their Best Of album:
Nirvana IMHO, Nirvana is to the 90's what The Beatles were to the 60's, Led Zeppelin were to the 70's, and Metallica were to the 80's - their music defines the decade. If you like the best of album, then go buy Nevermind (their breakthru album), and then get the rest in order of their release date. This way, you can experience them the way we all did back in the early 90's ![]() |

You just made a list of all the bands that I don't like. Actually I dislike metal, grunge, rock and pretty much anything related to those genres We have very different taste in music.

TGIF bitches
![]() Cleo, when my home sells, if it ever fucking does, it will be a LONG time before I buy another home. Not just because of the sour taste I have of it taking a year to sell (that's what I get for owning a $750,000 house) but it has a lot to do with the changes in my life that are and will be happening over the next few years until my daughter finishes school. She has 3 years left after this year then college or whatever. |

Morning. Yes owning a fucking house blows goats. I can't wait for my refi to finish up and go through. So much BS. The piles of money I'd have around and the new car I would be driving now would be so much more fun. So thankful for my acura as I'm about to crack 200k miles on it and it's little 4 banger motor has run like a champ!
TGIF! I can't wait to party tomorrow. Have a fun one lined up in Carlsbad. An old web designer from the adult days will be in town tomorrow morning. Looking forward to catching up with him. He has a lot of mainstream projects and needs a coder. So good to catch up plus pickup some business too. Nirvana was fucking awesome. So many good bands from those days that just imploded from people killing themselves or dying because of drugs. ![]() Alright, time to crush more coffee and make some money. |

I didn't have to read Greenie's post, just the thread title was enough, to know what happened 19 years ago. I guess that makes me a Nirvana fan too. Learning about his death was one of those moments where you can tell 20 years later what you were doing and where you were at that moment (I was at home in the couch watching the news btw.). Personally I like the Nevermind album the most since that's the first one I had and listened to it for entire days. But the MTV unplugged one is also awesome, I learned to play the bass playing along with the songs on that album.
Other than that it's just your usual Friday here. Have a good one all ![]() Last edited by Fonz; 2013-04-05 at 01:09 PM.. |

I listened to Nirvana a few times. I couldn't really understand the appeal of it to be honest.
Can you explain to me why people like their music so much?

Cobain had a great way communicating inward conflict and rebellion. He was more understated than rockers of my generation, more introverted, less blatant. He apppealed to a lot of people, too...even those that did not really identify with what his music was about could like him on some level, the sign of a real artist. My son really loved him. Rip.
